Wrestling and Its Music

One of the most underrated elements of a wrestling is the music. Specifically the wrestlers entrance music. The right theme can help elevate a talent to the next level. The ability to enhance a characters image and brand a performer though the music. These themes have helped with the transition of different talents new personas. I have compiled a list of some of my favorite wrestling songs for this blog. This is by no way a top 10 or in any kind of least to greatest order. These are just songs that I like and wanted to share with all of you...

The Fabulous Freebirds
One of the pioneers of wrestling entrance music are The Fabulous Freebirds. Michael Hayes and the gang were the first guys to use Rock N Roll music for their entrance theme.

The Ultimate Warrior
Nothing said excitement like the entrance theme for the Ultimate Warrior. Soon as those opening cords would play the crowd would go crazy.

Hulk Hogan
There is probably no greater example of the music pushing a wrestler to the next level then Hulk Hogan. At the peak of American Pride in the 1980s and belief in the good old USA we can conquer all there is Hulk Hogan. To match the say prayers, eat your vitamins theme there was the "Real American" song that gave fans the emotional bond to Hogan.

Evolution Theme
Pretty all I have to say is Triple H and Motorhead. Whenever you combine these two elements, there will be a pretty good theme song.
